The Ottawa Conference will bring together world-leaders in basic and clinical NMD research to highlight advances in the field, and foster discussion and collaboration within the NMD research community to build towards the next innovations in NMD research and treatment. The Conference will highlight advances in all aspects of NMD research, including innovative developments in basic muscle and stem cell biology and pathogenesis, novel genetic diagnostic techniques, expanding clinical phenotypes and promising therapies to treat NMD. Specific sessions will focus on ground-breaking discoveries in basic, translational or clinical research into NMDs such as ALS, SMA, inherited/inflammatory myopathies, muscular and myotonic dystrophies as well as fundamental research underlying NMD biology, pathogenesis and therapeutic targets.
